2014 Minimum Wage Increase for 13 States

States increasing their Minimum Wage rate as of 2014 include:

  • Arizona — $7.90
  • Colorado — $8; $4.98 for tipped employees
  • Connecticut — $8.70
  • Florida — $7.93
  • Missouri — $7.50
  • Montana — $7.90
  • New Jersey — $8.25
  • New York — $8
  • Ohio — $7.95; $3.98 per hour for tipped employees
  • Oregon — $9.10
  • Rhode Island — $8
  • Vermont — $8.73; $4.23 for tipped employees
  • Washington — $9.32
  • **California — $9 July 2014 and $10 January 2016

Besides state changes, please be advised to pay attention to local wage ordinances that may be changing.
