Modules

Advanced Kitting

The streamlined Advanced Kitting system allows distributors, assemble-to-order industries, and other light manufacturers to concentrate on other critical business issues without getting tied up in complex manufacturing processes. Advanced Kitting provides an easy-to-use production entry screen where finished goods are reported after the fact. This single point of entry eliminates numerous labor and production transactions by automatically issuing material quantities, outside process transactions, and labor time to finished kits.

Key Functionality:

  • Integrate assembly routings, component lists, time-phase labor, material, and outside (subcontract) operations in chronological order
  • Flexible work station parameters include user-defined defaults, work in process rates, and variable capacity by day for shift schedules
  • Use the backflush feature to automatically issue labor time, material quantities, overhead, and outside transactions as production takes place
  • Setup alerts to notify employees when machines, work centers, or tools are coming due or overdue for inspections
  • Maintain multiple versions of kits for different customers and/or revision level tracking

Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA)

The Sage MAS 500 ERP Sales Order module includes advanced tools to manage customer returns. It also includes a formalized Return Merchandise Authorization process to help companies implement return and replacement policies with ease.

Key Functionality:

  • An RMA document can be created to define items and quantities that are approved for returns to a company warehouse
  • Automatically calculate freight, discounts, taxes, and commissions
  • Process and track shipments of replacement items sent to customers for returns
  • Returned items can be exchanged for either replacement items or credit

Credit Card Processing

The Sage MAS 500 eCustomer module brings the power of the Internet and fully integrated Web-based technologies to your business. Through a business-to-business storefront, customers can order items from a general catalog that you can customize for your Web site. When they’re ready to purchase, they simply submit the order and receive an immediate confirmation. When the order is accepted, they receive an automatic e-mail acknowledgement.

Key Functionality:

  • Allow customers to browse your Web catalog, research item details, and manage their orders, all on the same Web page
  • Allow your customers to decide how to ship their orders
  • Allow customers to create a requisition by browsing the catalog, selecting items, and saving the requisition for their supervisor to review, approve, and turn into an order
  • Allow your customers to view their account balance, on-order balance, credit limit, and available credit

  • Use the Alerts module to monitor Sage MAS 500 when items are at or below their minimum stocking levels by warehouse, when items are out of stock by warehouse, and when back-ordered items are received
  • Generate purchase quantities based on Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), factoring in the item costs, the costs to process and receive purchase orders, as well as inventory carrying costs

Warehouse Management

The Warehouse Management module is an extension of the Inventory Management and Inventory Replenishment modules providing advanced features, including bin tracking, three-step inventory transfers, and both wave and zone picking.

Key Functionality:

  • Items may be replenished (transferred) from other warehouses instead of being replenished by purchase orders or manufacturing work orders
  • Staging bins can be used to temporarily hold items that decrease inventory but are not used in transactions
  • Zone picking can be used to sort pick lists by zone so that warehouse personnel pick products only within a specific zone. Picking progresses from zone to zone in an assembly-line fashion until orders are completely picked
  • Built-in intelligence reports provide insight into stocking levels, inventory by bin location, and transfer status

Purchase Order

The Sage MAS 500 ERP Purchase Order module helps you save time, reduce costs, and automate processes through supply chain management tools.   • Designate a different ship-to address or shipping method for each line of a purchase order and automatically distribute the amount of the appropriate general ledger account

  • Easily access critical purchasing information, including PO Summary, Payment Summary, Vendor Status, Vendor History, and Voucher Summary
