ASI Becomes Fort Collins Internet Pro

 ASI has joined forces with Fort Collins Internet Pros, a local Meetup group for locals who work with the Internet. The group was founded two years ago by Ron Zasadzinski, Laurie Macomber and Debbie Campbell, and had just five members total. The Meetup has since grown to over 250 technology professionals.

“The purpose of FCIP is to provide a forum for anyone and everyone involved in website development to get to know each other - we’re attracting everyone from web designers and programmers to copy writers, search engine optimization specialists, marketing professionals, photographers, videographers, and hardware people,” said FCIP cofounder and local Web design business owner Ron Zasadzinski. “It appeals to a broad range of anyone working with the web and creating a website.”

The Meetup is organized into two tracks, entrepreneurial and technical. The entrepreneurial track appeals to a broad range of attendees from marketers to business owners and offers information on online business growth tools like Google Analytics. The technical track is aimed at programmers and focuses on coding and techniques for web development.

“One group in particular that we haven’t targeted much but are very welcome is business owners. The group is a great resource for them to learn more about how to utilize the internet and meet people that can help,” Zasadzinski said. “The overall goal is collaborating to create results.”

Rachel Survil, Marketing and PR at ASI, attended her first FCIP event last month on Google Analytics. “FCIP is a great forum to offer up and receive ideas on the latest, most useful information for internet professionals,” Survil said. “It’s like going to a workshop or conference, except it’s free.”

FCIP meets twice a month on Thursday evenings at the ASI office, located at 324 Remington St.
