ASI President Attends Exclusive ITA Spring Conference

ITA Spring Conference

The Information Technology Alliance is a collaborative between leaders in the IT field, including practice firms (Value Added Resellers), internal technology leaders (CIOs or CTOs), alliance partners, vendors and consultants. The group focuses on sharing best business practices, measuring benchmarking data and building long-lasting business relationships. At its core, it is “a small, selective, vendor-independent group of highly ethical people who are committed to sharing the skills and experiences that make them successful,” according to the ITA Web site.

Two conferences are held annually; one in the fall open to non members and an exclusive meeting in the spring for members only.

This spring, the group of IT professionals met in Atlanta, Ga., April 26-28. They discussed a variety of topics, including improvements in marketing, project management and IT services. The group also delved into the latest information about the role of blogging and other forms of social media.

In all, the event was a success, according to President of Accounting Systems, Inc. Bredt Eggleston.

“We stay involved in the program for education purposes and learning from our peers,” Eggleston said. “Having attendees from different disciplines and IT firms opens the door to other value added resellers outside of our immediate circle, which provides a new perspective.”

“We’ll be on the list for next year,” Eggleston added.
