IBMC Experiencing Rapid Growth, Encouraging Wellness

IBMC Growth and Wellness

The Institute of Business and Medical Careers, an ASI client for six years, will be expanding campuses across Colorado and Wyoming to accommodate record student enrollment rates. Since 2001, IBMC’s enrollment has skyrocketed by 380 percent.

Steve Steele, President of IBMC, stated that “reaching a student population of over 800 students shows the need for a quality career college experience in the communities we serve. Many students are looking across the education landscape searching for a career that offers sustainability and hope. We offer such a catalyst with our career training programs.”

To keep up with the rapid growth, IBMC is in the process of expanding current campuses and opening new ones in the upcoming year. The Fort Collins campus is currently under construction to update labs, expand the number of classrooms and provide additional student resources. The Cheyenne location is also getting an update with a new, larger campus and a full massage clinic for massage therapy students. Additionally, plans are in the works for construction of a Longmont location to be opened at the end of the year.

“It is truly exciting to be a part of an organization that believes in helping students and building a quality place for our employees to work,” Steele said. “With almost 200 staff members that serve our 800 students, we strive to provide excellence in the classroom and in what we offer our employees.”

As an additional initiative to keep their 200 employees well, IBMC launched a “Live Well” campaign at the beginning of the month. The campaign is tied to the Wellness Council of America’s Live Well campaign, which recognizes businesses across the country for their excellence in worksite health promotion.

“The IBMC Live Well program was developed to as an employee retention activity which will promote a healthy work/life balance with great health rewards that will help keep benefit costs down,” said Jerri Van Zanten, Human Resources Director. “I hope to see that others will join when they see the positive aspects and results of those who are involved in the program.”

ASI would like to congratulate IBMC on its recent success and initiatives to support employee health and wellness.
