MAS 90 Online - A Sage Cloud Solution

Sage has been diligently working to provide a cloud offering of one of their most popular products – MAS 90.  The new offering will be called MAS 90 Online, and it is set to be released this month. 

MAS 90 Online will be what is referred to in the industry as Software as a Service (SaaS), which means that the software is not licensed or owned by the end user, but rather provided as a service.   A major advantage of using MAS 90 Online is that it requires very little (if any) IT investment.  There is no need to purchase a server for MAS 90 to run on – all you need is a computer that can be used to connect to Sage’s hosting service.  This also alleviates the need for an internal IT department.  Sage takes care of the maintenance on the ERP system and the server on which it resides.

Sage is teaming up with QTS Atlanta Metro Data Center to provide the hosting facilities for MAS 90 Online.  QTS has an outstanding reputation with 99.874% uptime recorded in 2010, making them an ideal choice for hosting MAS 90 Online.  The hosting facilities also provide a level of security that most small to medium sized businesses are unable to achieve in a cost effective manner.  The facility has fireproof cement walls, 24/7 connectivity, and human security, so you know your data will be safe.  Users of the new MAS 90 Online will pay a fee (per user, per month) to have access to a MAS 90 system via the internet.  Disaster recovery and backup services are also included in that fee.  This new model allows access to a fully-functioning MAS 90 ERP system from anywhere. MAS 90 Online will include new features and functionality available in version 4.5, with the following modules available:

MAS 90 Online is sure to be a great solution for companies that lack the resources of an IT department or are in need of a streamlined implementation.  Sage is also differentiating its cloud offering from many others by making it possible to move from the online platform to an on-premise installation (and vice versa) should the needs of the client change.  This added flexibility takes a lot of pressure off of the initial decision of how to deploy your MAS 90 system.  We look forward to the release of MAS 90 Online.
