User Account Control Errors in Windows 7 or Vista
User Account Control Errors in Windows 7 or Vista
When installing the Syspro Client on a Windows 7 or Vista workstation, you might experience problems, especially with Syspro Reporting Services, due to the User Account Control (UAC). UAC is a Windows security feature that limits privileges unless the user is an administrator.
In order to prevent these problems the Syspro client should be installed with UAC turned off. Once it is installed it can be turned back on and it will work fine.
If you have already installed the client and need to reinstall you must check the registry to make sure that the uninstall removed the Microfocus key under HKey_LocalMachine_Microfocus. If it didn’t, you must delete it before the reinstall is done.
