The Engineering Company Partners with ASI for ERP System Upgrade

Fort Collins, Colo. May 28, 2009 - - The Engineering Company, a Fort Collins-based civil engineering firm, has decided to join with Accounting Systems Inc. to upgrade their Deltek FMS system to Deltek Vision. FMS, their current system is being phased out and will no longer be supported.

 New Age Beverage Goes Mobile with ASI

New Age Beverage, a Colorado-based wholesale beverage distributor, has partnered with ASI to implement bMobileRoute, a tool that automates, streamlines and simplifies all areas of route distribution.

A Sage MAS 90 client of ASI’s for four years, New Age Beverage needed an improved route accounting system. After watching several presentations on similar applications, New Age Beverage decided upon bMobile.

 After nine months as an intern, Jennifer Christon joined ASI as a full time technical consultant this month. During her time at ASI, she has worked on data entry, accounting, Crystal Reports, logging support tickets for clients and learning Sage MAS 90, Sage CRM, and Deltek Vision. She is currently focusing on MAS 90/200 Extended Enterprise Suite upgrades and implementations.

“It’s exciting to finally take all the things I learned in school and as an intern and put them to use in real life,” Christon said.

With the spring conference season in full bloom, the ASI staff has been booked with a variety of vendor and professional conferences.

Sage Insights was held this year in Denver the week of May 17th. The conference featured a variety of speakers, a tradeshow and other events. “There were a bunch of vendors we already knew and also some new ones – it was great to see them and learn about their products,” said Chris Devault, Sales Executive.

Enabling Cost Rates In Deltek Vision

Most organizations use the job cost rate for all projects when calculating profits. These rates can be associated with either a particular employee or based upon the role of the employee. Having standard rates across all jobs gives a more standard calculation of project profitability. However, there are circumstances where a company may want to use a different job cost rate for a project that is different than their standard rate to get a more accurate picture of that project’s profitably. You may also want to cost your promotional or overhead projects differently than you do your general client-facing projects.

ASI partners with e2b software to offer additional support to clients

ASI is proud to announce its partnership with e2b software, a developer who offers plug-and-play business applications including receivables and collections management (RCM) and e2b 500 enhancements for Sage MAS 500 ERP. e2b software was founded in 2002 and has teamed up with ASI before on multiple projects.

“ASI is excited to partner with e2b for the Collections Management application. We see the benefits this application can bring to our clients and look forward to many successful implementations together,” said Katie Jo Cordes, Account Manager at ASI.
